Liberty’s Booster Club, in partnership with the City of Issaquah, is offering 5 different STEM camps across 3 weeks. Proceeds benefit Liberty High School’s Robotics team, FRC 4131, the Iron Patriots.

July 17-21

 Both morning (9AM to 12PM) and afternoon (1PM to 4PM) sessions are offered.

Launching into LEGO Robotics:

Ages 8-12, $300 resident, $360 non-resident

Learn about robotics through building and programming LEGO Mindstorm robots! Students will work with teams to have their robot complete challenges, all leading up to a competition at the end of camp. Suitable for students with any level of robotics experience!

Automation with REV Robotics:

Ages 10-14, $350 resident, $420 non-resident

Use REV robotics parts to gain a deep understanding of robotics through designing, building, wiring, and programming a robot in teams to complete challenges. A competition will be held at the end of camp for students to show off their creations. Have fun while learning crucial robotics skills from experienced high school mentors! ($50 material fee included in price)

Programming LEGO Robots with Scratch:

Ages 8-12, $300 resident, $360 non-resident

Use Scratch to deepen your understanding of programming LEGO robots. Students will learn the key principles of coding through creating fun games while incorporating LEGO motors and sensors. Students must bring their own laptops from home (we have a set number of laptops we can lend to students that do not have one).

Introduction to 3D Printing and Robot Design:

Ages 10-14, $300 resident, $360 non-resident

Get an introduction to Computer Aided Design (CAD) and learn how different robotic mechanisms are designed. Examine Liberty Robotics’ previous competition robots to see how a design can come to life! Students will design and 3D print their own creation to take home at the end of camp. Students must bring their own laptops from home (we have a set number of laptops we can lend to students that do not have one).

Lots O’ LEGO:

Ages 6-9, $200 resident, $240 non-resident

Have fun building with an endless supply of LEGOs while learning about basic architecture! Work with others to design your own LEGO city using engineering principles to build bridges, stores, skyscrapers, schools, and more! Show off your city to families at the end of the camp during presentation night. Perfect for avid LEGO builders looking to sharpen their skills.
